Booking Information

Located in the small community of Foresta, our home features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a den across two floors. We can accommodate up to 4 people and are located inside the Yosemite National Park entrance gates, meaning that you won't have to wait in line to get into the park on a daily basis during your stay. 

Our home includes:

• 2 upstairs bedrooms, each with a Queen bed

• 1 Full bed in the downstairs den 

• 2 full bathrooms, tub/shower combo (upstairs) and shower (downstairs)

• well equipped kitchen, including a gas range, dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, cooking utensils, etc.

• central air conditioning and heating 

• large wrap-around deck with views of Big Meadow, El Capitan, Clouds Rest, and Half Dome, outdoor dining table, and a gas grill

• Smart TV and DVD player

• mountain wifi – best for truly getting away (runs off cell tower, limited speed)

• landline phone (local calling only)

• beautiful night sky

• total peace and quiet!

We're family owned and operated and located in a small mountain community, so please abide by the following policies:

• Maximum number of guests is 4

  • All guests must be registered

  • Unregistered guests will incur and additional charge of $50 per guest, per day

  • No wedding receptions or parties exceeding the number of registered guests

  • Children under 1 stay for free (but please register them)

• Check-in time: 4:00 pm. Check-out time: 11:00 am. 

• NO pets and NO smoking 

• Quiet hours in our community are 10:00 pm to 8:00 am

  • Snow chains are required November through April

• No electric car charging at this time. There is a Tesla Supercharger 13 miles away in El Portal, CA as well as several EV charging stations in Yosemite Valley

• Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds for occurrences beyond our control, such as road closures, weather, personal problems, etc. 

• Lastly, please respect our home and leave it in the same condition as when you arrived or you may be charged a cleaning fee. We'll take care of the laundry and deep cleaning, but kindly ask that you remove your trash, wipe kitchen counters to remove food debris, and start the dishwasher when you leave. While we love our home's proximity to wild animals, we prefer that they stay wild and keeping the home tidy helps keep it free of pests.

• CANCELLATION POLICY:  50% of your total stay will be billed at the time of the reservation. This is refundable up to 30 days prior to your stay. 14 days prior to your stay, you will be billed the remaining 50% of your total stay, after which point refunds are not available. 

Foresta's quiet location and stunning beauty are unmatched. Many homes advertise as being "close to Yosemite" but few are truly located inside the National Park. We're a 7 mile drive from Yosemite Valley and about 14 miles from the Visitors Center (~30 minutes without traffic).

As you get familiar with the area, we recommend using Google Maps to map your route. What looks close on a map can be deceptively slow on winding mountain roads!  And keep in mind that entrance gates are often backed up in the summer and on weekends. On particularly busy weekends, it can take hours to get through the gate! Since Foresta is located inside the National Park, you won't have to re-enter each day.
